From 1:00 AM to 11:59 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025, trade unions have called a nationwide railway transport strike, which may cause disruptions to train service in Lombardy.
Regional, Suburban, Long-Distance Trenord services and Airport services may be subject to changes and/or cancellations.
Guaranteed service windows will be in effect from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, during which trains included in the list of “Minimum Guaranteed Services” will operate.

In the event of cancellation of airport train services, replacement buses without intermediate stops will be arranged between:
- Milano Cadorna and Malpensa Airport for the Malpensa Express. From Milano Cadorna, buses will depart from Via Paleocapa 1.
- Stabio and Malpensa Airport for the S50 Malpensa Airport – Stabio route.
TRENITALIA
Treni garantiti in caso di sciopero (trenitalia.com)
From 1:00 AM to 11:59 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025, a nationwide strike has been called by the staff of Gruppo FS, Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper, and Trenord. During the strike, trains may be cancelled or rescheduled.
For Trenitalia and Trenitalia Tper services, essential services are guaranteed during weekdays from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Milano can be reached from the main Italian and European cities by the Trenitalia (Frecce and Intercity) and Italo high-speed trains. The Trenord train company serves the regional routes. Please consult the railway companies’ websites for timetables and online ticket purchases.
The main railway stations in Milano are:
Central Station FS – piazza Duca d’Aosta – a departure point for most of the trains to foreign destinations. Connected with the M2 and M3 underground lines.
Porta Garibaldi FS station – piazza S. Freud – connected with the M2 and M5 underground lines.
Cadorna FN station – piazzale Cadorna – connected with the M1 and M2 underground lines.
Rogoredo FS station – Via Cassinis – connected with the M3 underground line.

Please note that for ESHG 2025 some trains from Malpensa Airport are stopping at ‘Domodossola Station’ which is 8 minutes walking from the Allianz MiCo. Please see the schedule here.

Milano is served by three airports: Malpensa, Linate and Bergamo Orio al Serio.
Malpensa (MXP, 45 km from the city centre) can be reached from the centre of Milano with the Malpensa Express train from the Cadorna, Milano Centrale and Milano Porta Garibaldi stations. Various bus companies also serve the route.
Linate (LIN, 7 Km from the city centre) can be reached by the M4 underground line.
Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY, 50 km from the city centre) can be reached by bus shuttle services run by various companies.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT/TAXI
Licensed taxicabs in Milano are white and do not usually pick up passengers on the street. They can be requested by phone and online, or by going to the designated taxi ranks.
The fare is calculated on the meter, or with fixed rates for pre-established routes.
Bookings can be made with the Municipality’s Milano In Taxi app available for iOS and Android or by calling the toll-free number 027777 or through the www.taxi.comune.milano.it website.
Accessible taxis for disabled passengers, identifiable by the Easy Taxi logo, are available as well as car rentals with drivers specialised in the transport of persons with special needs.

Starting from 25 February 2019, within the Municipality of Milan, “Area B” enters into force, a restricted traffic area with no access and movement restrictions for some categories of vehicles considered to be more polluting or dangerous.
Allianz MiCo, in the group of activities undertaken to support the environment and improve the collective well-being and its guests, strongly supports this provision and asks all its visitors (fitters, exhibitors and delegates) to put the maximum attention to the rules of the initiative, which in particular includes:
– the prohibition of access and movement for vehicles identified on the basis of their environmental performance (*), on weekdays, from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm;
– the prohibition of access and movement for vehicles, or vehicle complexes, with a length of more than 12 meters (**), on weekdays, from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm

(**) MEANS OF LENGTH OF OVER 12 METERS, directed to the Allianz MiCo district or fieramilanocity for activities closely related to events and events, can still access Area B on weekdays, from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, provided that the vehicle complies with the environmental requirements and provided that it has been previously registered through the information system of Fiera Milano and / or Fiera Milano Congressi (e-commerce and logistics platforms).
It is always advisable to print and carry the relevant pass in paper form.
