Important information
- Upload deadline: May 15, 2025, 12:00 hrs CEST
- For a possibility to upload your e-poster to the virtual conference platform you must be registered and must have paid your registration fee.
- If the presenting author of the abstract is not registered and therefore cannot upload the e-poster, the abstract will not be published in the electronic supplement of the European Journal of Human Genetics.
- To change the presenting author, please nominate a co-author (who is not presenting another abstract) and provide the following information via email to conference@eshg.org:
- Full name of new presenting author
- Personal e-mail address of the new presenting author
- Information on whether the new presenting author has already registered for the conference
- If you are unable to prepare and upload your e-poster, please officially withdraw from your presentation by sending an email to conference@eshg.org until May 2, 2025. Authors who do not notify the organizing office in writing ahead of the conference and fail to present their e-poster, will be banned from presenting an abstract at ESHG 2026.
Schedule for display
- Onsite in the Exhibition Hall from Saturday, May 24 (09:30 hrs CEST) to Monday, May 26 (17:00 hrs CEST).
- Online on the virtual conference platform for registered participants from May 21, 2025 until November 30, 2025.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the presentation at the conference is the condition for the publication of the abstract in the electronic supplement of the European Journal of Human Genetics. However, your presence onsite or online during the poster sessions is not required.
E-poster details
- Format: portrait or landscape
- Number of pages: maximum 1 (participants will be able to zoom in and out)
- File type: PDF
- File size: maximum 2 GB
- Font: do not use special fonts as these complicate the readability
- File name: poster number and presenter’s name. To avoid any compatibility problems, please do not use special characters (e.g. «, Ö, Ø, ñ, ε, ®, ý, }, {, etc.).
- Do not use any passwords or encryption for your file.
- If you wish, you may include a QR code to a handout on the e-poster.
- The official conference language is English. Therefore, all e-posters must be in English.
- In compliance with EACCME regulations, authors are requested to disclose conflicts of interest on their e-poster.
- When presenting data and health information (including photos) all presenters must have informed consent compliant with human subjects and applicable regulations, and comply with GDPR.
- Note that your presentation will be converted to HTML5, making a download of the e-poster impossible. However, it is possible for the viewer to make photographs or screenshots of your presentation. If you do not wish any scientific content of your presentation to be photographed, please indicate this clearly visible on your poster.
Social Media Policy ESHG 2025 - Being an organisation of genetic experts, ESHG wishes to draw your attention on the correct representation of the DNA Helix on your poster, namely the sense of rotation, which has been frequently wrong in the past. How to upload your e-poster
- For the upload Google Chrome is recommended.
- Follow this link and use your email address and personal password to login:
- Go to the “Presentation Upload” tab in the top menu bar, click on it and follow these steps:
- Click on “Forms” and read through the terms and conditions.
- Upload your PDF file (this might take a few minutes).
- Preview your uploaded PDF file and finish your upload.
- Until the deadline for your content submission you can go back to the presentation upload module and upload updated files.
- Your e-poster will be displayed on a dedicated page of the virtual conference platform.
A message tool will allow participants to contact you with questions/comments/etc. You will receive the message to your email and can decide if you would like to respond or not. Your email address will never be shown to registered participants or in public. - For better engagement with participants we recommend to upload a photo and biography (not mandatory):
- In the portal, click on your name in the top right corner of the screen and select “Profile” from the dropdown.
- On the left side click on “Change” at the lower part of the white circle to upload your headshot (600x600px, less than 2MB, jpeg or png).
- Under Personal Settings upload a short and concise biography in the respective text box.
Presentation Certificates
Presentation certificates will be available for download to all abstract authors on the virtual conference platform one week after the conference. Please do not request certificates onsite, via phone or email.
